Central Baptist Staff & Elders
Corbit Magby - Senior Pastor
My family came from the Southwest, and I was born in Weslaco, Texas. Growing up in Corpus Christi, my life was simple and uncluttered with things like money and possessions. Having no real church background, it came as a shock when a man asked me if I had ever experienced the peace of God. My wife and I became Christians at the same time, and have been in hot pursuit of God ever since. I spent six years as an infantry officer, owned my own construction company, and have more time in the Bible than most people have in a tee shirt. I wear cowboy boots because they are comfortable, and they make me look taller.
The most important person in my life is my wife Anita. She is my best friend. She has been one of God’s instruments to help me become the man He wants me to become. I am still in process. I have three beautiful daughters, one handsome son, and three awesome sons-in-law. I am blessed to enjoy the greatest mother-in-law God ever created, as well as three fine brothers and five of the most wonderful sisters-in-law you could imagine.
My prior pastoral experience included churches in Alaska, and serving as the District Executive for our association of churches. I became pastor of this church in November, 2006. I have a BS from Texas A&M, and an MDiv from Bethel Seminary.
MARK CHITTWOOD - ASSOCIATE PASTOR
I grew up in Texas and graduated from Central Baptist College and Dallas Theological Seminary, where I have an M.A. in Children and Adult Ministries. I have a lovely wife named Sally and we were married in 1980. We have 3 wonderful kids who make them proud each day. I have served in churches in Texas, Arkansas, and South Carolina before coming to Washington. I oversee the Christian Education ministries at Central and have served here since 1999. I love to help people, young and old, to become all they can be in Christ Jesus.
SCOTT PENNINGTON— YOUTH PASTOR
A graduate of Northwest Baptist Seminary, I have been involved in youth ministry since 1994 working with Jr. high, Sr. high and college-age students. My beautiful wife Jaymie and I have a little boy, Reagan and a little girl Kaitlyn. Outside of my passion for youth ministry, I love coffee, the great outdoors, mountain biking and fishing. My excitement for working with students in the ministry is fueled on by the belief that the most powerful and exciting force in the world is a teenager totally turned on to

CINDY WEBSTER — ADMINISTRATOR
Most people will recognize me as "that lady that sings on Sundays". I started attending Central in 1996 with my husband Doug and our two beautiful daughters Christina and Stefani. I started singing with the choir and then with the worship team about a year and a half later. I was a stay at home mom, homeschooling my two daughters and wanted to help out at the church. I started out by volunteering in the church office a couple of days every week, helping out with whatever needed doing and learning a lot along the way. I now work in the church office full time and wear many hats here at Central. When I'm not singing with the worship team, I might be found running the projection computer for the Sunday morning service or any other variety of things that may come up. My husband is a long haul truck driver so when he is home off of the road we all like to spend as much time as we can together. We all like camping and being outside and together as a family.I also like to read and watch old movies (especially musicals) with my family.
JAYMIE PENNINGTON - NURSERY COORDINATOR
I love to have fun! Maybe that is why I enjoy being Nursery Coordinator so much! I married my "Knight In Shining Armor", (literally that is how Scott proposed!), six years ago in my hometown of Fortuna, California. We have a wonderful son named Reagan a beautiful daughter named Kaitlyn and an English Setter named Copper. I have dreamed about being a missionary from the age of nine, and am now living out that desire in the foreign land of Washington state sharing God's love to the littlest attenders of Central! I have a degree in Spanish Literature from Willamette University, with Biology and Chemistry Minors. Biochemistry was my favorite class in college! I love Caramel Macchiatos, Quilting, Reading, Hiking and Sunny Days!
